James Passchier
James Passchier started shadowing family members in construction and dove into the construction process in his early years. James is well versed in all aspects of carpentry including cabinetry, framing and siding. He is familiar with the trade of finishing drywall and is well respected by subcontractors in all trades: thanks in part to his years overseeing a well-respected property management company in Aspen/Snowmass. James headed West from Michigan years ago and was introduced to partner Scott Baltzer; where he was employed as a full time framer while attending college. A knack for business, numbers, operations and fine details make James a valuable asset on any jobsite and for consultation on potential investment properties. In his spare time, James enjoys any sport behind a Mastercraft, hunting, personal investment projects and time well spent with his three kids and wife.
Scott Baltzer
Scott Baltzer was introduced to the world of custom home building 25 years ago through a family friend who was a builder. After gaining years of experience as a California framer, he and his wife moved to the Roaring Fork valley 20 years ago. By way of relationships with with a few local builders, he was able to create a successful framing company, through which his relationship with his partner James Passchier was cultivated. Scott was able to transition from Framing Contractor to full time General Contractor years ago, using his experience managing timelines for builders, as well as coordinating with other subcontractors to facilitate their schedules as well. Scott’s ability to see a project through his clients eyes, and how that project should flow from start to finish, is one of his best assets. He has a vision for detail, a sense for how long each phase of construction should take, which makes construction management his strong suit. When he’s not obsessing about his current project, Scott is spending time with his wife and four kids at the lake in the summer, on the hill in the winter, and at whichever sporting event his kids are involved in.
